Ellen Wong is a Canadian actress who portrayed Knives Chau in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.

Biography[]

Wong's first role was on the award-winning television series This is Wonderland. For her role as Knives, Wong applied for the international talent search to fill the role of Knives Chau and ended up being her first film role.

Wong had a recurring role in the television series The Carrie Diaries, a prequel to Sex and the City where she played the character Jill "Mouse" Chen. The show explored the life of a young Carrie Bradshaw in the 1980s.

Wong appeared in the science fiction television series Dark Matter, where she played the role of Misaki Han-Shireikan. The show followed a group of people who wake up on a spaceship with no memory of who they are or how they got there.

Ellen Wong joined the cast of the Netflix series GLOW in its second season, playing the character Jenny Chey. The show, inspired by the real-life Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling promotion, received critical acclaim for its portrayal of female empowerment in the world of professional wrestling.
