Kim's Mom & Dad make a brief appearance in Volume 6 during Scott's "wilderness sabbatical," where Scott is seen having breakfast with them and Kim at their house. Not much is revealed about Kim's parents, but it appears that Kim has a rather dysfunctional relationship with them. At one point during breakfast, she comments to Scott: "Please excuse my parents. I don't think they were born morons, but..."
