Ramona is a song written by Bryan Lee O'Malley that appears in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. It is sung and spoken about by Scott Pilgrim to Ramona Flowers.

History

The song only appears in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World when Scott mentions that he wrote a song about Ramona whilst the two are riding on a bus. He then goes on to recites the lines, which consist entirely of the word 'Ramona' repeated many times. Scott describes the song as "kind of an epic", whilst Ramona says she can't wait to hear it when it's finished.

In vs. the World

The song also appears in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (film) and was written by Beck. The song is performed by Scott playing an acoustic guitar in his and Wallace's apartment to Ramona. After Scott finishes the song, Ramona states that she can't wait to hear it finished, unaware that it was finished.

The song appears again twice later on in the film, performed by Beck, once after Scott loses Ramona to Gideon and again during the films credits.

The movie's soundtrack refers to this song as "Ramona (acoustic version)", and features a different song called "Ramona" not featured in the movie.

Soundtrack version

Here we go, 1 2 3 4

There's nothing left to hide
You can see it in my eyes
Oh I've tried to be who I thought you wanted

And if it's all a lie
The truth's not far behind
We could try to live right for the moment

Ramona

If only I had known
It's less than what I felt
Why should I have nothing to fear from?
