Scott's Mom & Dad are Scott, Stacey and Lawrence's parents in the series.

History[]

Scott Pilgrim graphic novels[]

They are seen very rarely because of their trip to Europe, and their names are never revealed. However, they seem to care about Scott Pilgrim and Stacey Pilgrim a lot and even buy Scott a new apartment after Ramona disappears, though they (justifiably) treat Scott as though he is dull-witted.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation[]

Scott's parents appear very briefly in Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation where the back of their heads can be seen when Scott looks at Kim for the last time from the car before he moves to Toronto.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game[]

They are, however, seen in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game in World 5-2 as vendors at Julie Powers' Mexican Day of The Dead Celebration.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off[]

They both briefly appear in Scott Pilgrim Takes Off three times, the first during Scott's funeral where they are seen sitting next to Stacey and Lawrence, the second being in Kim's flashback of when she met Scott which showed his parents waiting on him before moving to Toronto, and the third in the Good Memoroies slideshow where they are guests at Scott and Ramona's wedding.

Trivia[]

Vincent and Monica Beetle share resemble to Scott's parents, something which O'Malley hinted at in the comic.

  • These two are some of the few characters that are never named.
  • Scott's mom is the smallest member of the Pilgrim family.

Monica Beetle connection[]

When Bryan Lee O'Malley was creating the short Monica Beetle, he visualised the character Vincent as being Scott Pilgrim's dad, having "wild, 70's-style adventures in his youth" akin to Scott's, as well as hanging out with a 70's version of Stephen Stills. That is why it is believed that Scott's parents are Vincent and Monica Beetle respectively.

Vincent at Scott's age looks heavily like Scott himself. Monica meanwhile bears a distinct resemblance to Stacey while Lawrence looks like a mix of the two. This has not been explicitly confirmed and Mrs. Pilgrim has a few differences than Monica such as hair color (though nothing dismisses that she changed her hair when older)
